To gain a clear understanding of which beverages are harmful:

1. Raw milk or unpasteurized juices

Most individuals start their days off right by consuming ample amounts of milk and fruit juices, and pregnant women should be especially mindful of this. Yet, there are different kinds of milk and juices, particularly the unpasteurized kind. The process of pasteurisation eliminates the numerous germs and microorganisms that are present in the product. The microorganisms found in milk and juice boxes that you purchase that have not been pasteurised may be dangerous to you. This is how Dr. Gaurav Khanna described it very well.

2. Wheatgrass-based juice

The advantages of wheatgrass are so great that most women think it's unusual to have a good pregnancy without ingesting it. Yet, relatively few people are aware that wheatgrass contains a variety of bacteria and moulds. Wheatgrass is typically gathered in damp, moist circumstances that are ideal for a variety of bacteria to flourish.

3. Diet soda

Despite what the labelling on the product may claim, diet drinks often contain caffeine as one of their main ingredients. Artificial sweeteners, primarily saccharine, are also present with that. The most powerful molecule that can pass through the placenta and easily reach the unborn child is saccharine. When ingested in excess, it can begin to hinder the development of the unborn child and result in abnormalities.

4. Coffee

Given that many people's morning routines typically include drinking coffee, most women will sigh when this fact is brought out. The best strategy is to completely avoid coffee while you are pregnant. However since many people find it difficult, you can start by limiting your intake to no more than two cups per day. As much as possible, try to avoid consuming caffeine, especially during the first trimester when the likelihood of a miscarriage is quite high.

5. Carbonated drinks

The modern way of living that most people live has made it commonplace for people to regularly consume different soft drinks. Whether they are fruit- or cola-flavored, they go well with them on any occasion. Pregnant ladies typically opt for those over any other drinks because they also provide as a nice refreshment. Yet in addition to the caffeine, some of these drinks also frequently contain a substance known as quinine. For a pregnant woman, the combination of caffeine and quinine can be harmful.

6. Alcohol

It may be obvious, but some people still think that a little consumption won't hurt the child. What may seem insignificant to you may be significant to a developing infant. Alcohol seriously impairs a child's development in a variety of ways, including physical malformations, slowed brain growth, and a host of others.

7. Green Tea

Isn't this one a real surprise? For many people, learning that a beverage they have always considered healthful is actually detrimental to pregnant women is surprising. Confusion is increased by the fact that numerous websites and even nutritionists advise pregnant women to drink green tea due to its advantages over regular tea or coffee.
